[動]（-stood）不規則動詞活用表 understand〔進行形不可〕

1 (他)〈人が〉…を理解するわかる，了解する，〈…かを〉理解する≪wh節≫；(自)わかる，（…について）（よく）知っている≪about≫，同情する．

2 (他)…を解釈する（…だと）見なす，理解する≪as≫；〔understand A to do〕Ａが…すると解釈する（◆do には通例 say，mean，be などがくる）．
