押し売りウイルス 身代金要求型ウイルス ランサムウエア (ransom(身代金)とsoftware(ソフトウエア)の造語。マルウエア(malware)の一種。端末内のデータを暗号化したり、画面をロックしたりして使用不能にし、復旧したければ金を払えと脅す「身代金要求型ウイルス」。メールの不正な添付ファイルを開いたり不正な広告を見たりすると、感染する。⇒cybersecurity)

The modus operandi of the cybercrime group known as DarkSide is to infiltrate a targeted large company with ransomware that encrypts data, demanding a ransom in exchange for restoring access to the data.
ダークサイドとして知られるサイバー犯罪集団の手口は、標的の大企業にランサムウエアと呼ばれるウイルスを侵入させてデータを暗号化し、復元と引き換えに身代金を要求する。
When a computer is infected with a type of virus called “ransomware,” the virus encrypts the computer’s data. And a message is displayed on the screens, demanding tens of thousands of yen be paid if the victim wants the encrypted data unlocked so they can recover it.
「ランサム(身代金)ウエア」と呼ばれるウイルスの一種にコンピュータが感染すると、このウイルスでコンピュータのデータが暗号化される。そして、「暗号化されたデータを復元するため、データのロック解除を被害者が望むなら、数万円を支払え」と要求する文面が画面に表示される。
